Men burst into Park Palace hotel armed with AK-47 rifles
during a celebration. Many foreign nationals were in attendance of the
celebration.
At least one American was killed after the gunmen stormed a
Kabul guesthouse. The celebration consisted of a gathering of Afghan and
foreign nationals on Wednesday night.
There were three armed gunmen that made their way into the
hotel after 8 pm. The attack happened during a celebration featuring a musical
performance by Altaf Hussein, the Indian singer.
Security forces advanced with great caution to avoid
civilian losses, according to a source close to the crisis response unit.
