Chinese police found a newborn baby alive in a shallow grave.
The baby was buried alive in a cardboard box. The baby boy’s grandmothers were
arrested for planning the boy’s murder.
A women collecting herbs near a hillside graveyard heard the
sound of crying. It was then that she rushed to get help and the rescue
operation began.
The rescuers found a baby boy a few centimeters below the
surface. He had been buried loosely enough for air and water to reach the box.
The baby was taken to the hospital where he was throwing up
mud.
A total of five people were arrested for the attempted murder
– three of which are relatives of the baby boy.
